I have type 1 diabetes and im having vaginal discomfort.?
i have type one diabetes. since 2007 i have had episodes of vaginal itching, dryness, redness and discharge. its not a yeast infection or vaginal infections i have been tested for everything from stds to yeast infections. the Dr's have no idea what its is. it seems like it gets worse at night or after sex. my husband shows no signs of anything. what could this be? will it ever go away ? yeast meds do not help.
Smoking marijuana and type 1 diabetes?
does anyone know what effect, if any, smoking marijuana may have on a diabetics blood sugar levels. My brother in law was just taken to emergency by ambulance yesterday with a reading of 500...it was 457 and he took his insulin and half hour later it was 500..instead of going down it went up. My husband insists its from his marijuana smoking but im not so sure about that and i cant find anything on internet that actually answers that specific question....please someone who know respond
How accurate are urine tests when testing for Type 1 diabetes?
I recently had a sample of my urine tested for abnormal glucose levels, because I've recently been experiencing some of the symptoms of type I diabetes. I've been needing to pee a lot more frequently, have had an unquenchable thirst I'm not compelled to drink all that more often, it's just that when I do drink it doesn't seem to help. My mouth still feels dry etc and most of all, I've been suffering from really bad fatigue and muscle weakness and pain .The glucose levels in my urine sample where totally normal, but I've been asked to return on Monday to undergo blood tests.I was just wondering what having a normal result for the urine sample means and how accurate the urine test is. Basically, is it still possible that I am diabetic, even if the urine sample came out as normal? Thanks.
Does Type 1 diabetes automatically disqualify you from being a police officer?
I am 21 years old and I want to apply to local police agencies in Maryland, particularly Prince George's County and Howard County. I have had Type 1 Diabetes since I was 13 and I have always had excellent control a1c between 5.0 6.0 . I have done research on whether diabetes will disqualify me from getting a job and the results seem to be mixed. Any information or links references on the topic would be a huge help.

Type 1 diabetes, can you hae sugar?
My boyfriend has type 1 diabetes, we have only been going out a month but in a month and a hlaf its my sweet 16 and I was thinking of having a " sweet" theme with lots of puddings and sweets and stuff. However I wont do this if he won't be able to join in on the fun becasue of sugar. Ive seen him having diet cola before and also eating a brownie but apart from that i cant think of times when he has had sugararound me. I feel stupid asking him becasue we have been going out a month and i really should know considering its such a big part of his life. He wears one of those bayer things so he can moniter his blood sugar and he doesnt need to inject himself. Please can someone tell me if you are allowed sugar as a type 1 diabetic and would it be insenstive to have this party, I really do like him and I want him there at my party so help please?
Do I have Type 1 Diabetes?
I keep peeing a lot. The pee is clear and only is about 2 seconds. I'm really thirsty all the time and stuff. I heard this is symptoms for diabetes. I've recently had lots of test done for other reasons and I supposing that if I did have diabetes it would've shown up on there? Can you develop diabetes?Please help I'm really scared
