Im sorry to hear of yet another persons suffering w this problem.....anyways the best advice I can offer him is to contact the manufacturer of his meds, ie: I use Novolog made by NovoDisk & they offer a lower income/ no insurance plan that gives you your insulin in 3 month incriments for FREE!!! you do have to see a Dr & get them to fill out the pprwrk & wright a Rx & then your meds are shipped to the Dr office n & you just pick them up there, as per syringes n such try your local helath department, they should be able to help you aou, I mean they give FREE syringes to admitted junkies to help keep them AIDS free so I see NO reason they should deny a diabetic the same courtesy(and say that to them if they give you any problems a lot of times they try to be hard core like your aksing for hand outs when in all actuality your just asking for the right to live ahealthy life) as per testing supplies Id again try the manufactuer but per my own experience Ive had no luck there, you can get free glocose moniters thru local pharmacies you just have to watch for special rebates & offers.....being uninsured and diabetic is VEWRY hard trust me Ive been thru it SO MANY times fortunatly Im FINALLY insured again thru the good graces of my employer...where does he live?? I may be able to offer some better info if he's here in the States feel free to email me directly if youd like |
