What are diabetic socks?
I've been trying to find good socks for athletes foot and I keep finding listing online for " diabetic" socks, one of which was made of 100 % coolmax polyester. How and why are these diabetic socks? I don't have or know anyone with diabetes so I am very curious.

My ankles have been swollen but don t know why and my Dr. suggested elevation and my son & husband diabetic socks. I have been diabetic for 38 yrs and never heard of Diabetic socks.
